If impeccable timing had a flavor. Young tea leaves grown in spring are plucked before unfurling, then immediately scented with fresh jasmine buds picked after morning dew has evaporated. Then precisely measured withering and drying times wrap up production, until it is delivered to you, the final artist.
The following masterpiece is this, a white tea exclusively comprised of silver needles, or tea leaf buds, scented with jasmine. For those who collect florals, add A Condemed Lily to your shelf for special occasions.
1 oz
White tea, contains caffeine
Ingredients: camellia sinensis, jasmine
Ideal brewing suggestion:
Start with 3-4 grams in 8 ounces of boiling water. Steep for 3-4 minutes. Yes, we said boiling water, you clever white tea enthusiasts. Our silver needles remain whole and unbroken, a mark of quality. The fuzzy coat on each needle acts as a shield against harsh natural elements, and only high heat can breach through this barrier to release flavor. Sometimes delicate things need a good scorching to unlock full potential.
Manderley's secret suggestion:
Using a ratio of 4 grams for every 6-8 ounces of water, allow tea leaves steep in room temperature or cold water for 24-48 hours. The gradual steep while avoiding high heat gives room for delicate notes to flourish. This method may yield to higher caffeine levels.
